Carol has been a guest here before and she never disappoints. Please leave her a comment so she'll know you dropped by. Enjoy!
Thanks for inviting me here today, Tabby. I always enjoy
meeting new readers.
If you look at the photo of me, you'll see that I'm
overweight. Being a writer has not helped that in any way. Unless very
disciplined, a writer gets very little exercise and, for me anyway, has to make
themselves be active.
I have a full time day job sitting at a computer all day. During my lunch hour,
I remain at my desk and write. When I come home, I eat dinner and then its back
on the computer spending time on social networks and email groups to publicize
my books and write. It's no wonder I'm in the shape I'm in. Weekends can also
be murder for a writer, no pun intended. I find myself typing away usually with
an unhealthy snack nearby. I'm preaching to the choir, right?
So, what did I do? I wrote a book about a personal chef that included descriptions of all kinds of wonderful and fattening foods. My book, "A Kitchen Affair" is about culinary student Jenny Marshall who is struggling to pay her tuition when she decides to become a Personal Chef to make ends meet. When the most eligible bachelor in town, Derek James, has a crisis, he hires Jenny to cook for his party and there's chemistry from the start. Then, a manager at his company sets her sights on Derek and does everything she can to sabotage the relationship. What lengths will she go to in order to keep Derek and Jenny apart?

Bio:
Carol Preflatish knew at an early age that she loved to
write. In high school and college, her favorite classes were composition and
creative writing. It wasn't until after she married and then became a parent
that she decided to pursue it seriously. She published her first romantic
suspense in 2009. Always loving a good mystery, she's constantly thinking up
ideas for future books. Carol lives in southern Indiana, sharing her log cabin
in the woods with her husband and two cats. When not writing, she loves to
read, watch football, and enjoy the outdoors camping with her husband.

So that's how you make alfredo sauce...and since I loooove cream cheese, no WONDER fettucini alfredo shot to the top of my pasta choices after I tasted it!
Loved the book Carol:) But you already knew that, right? LOL:)
Carol you're not overweight (I'm looking at the photo), you're a good hug! But you're right about the lack of exercise when you're a writer--I got this foot-high mini bike where you sit on a chair and pedal in place like mad (it's foldable). Anyhoo, oh, btw, I'm buying your book (yes, it's about time). Meredith
